10 Year High School Reunion

Okay, wow. What a freaking awesome weekend! I can't stop thinking about how much fun I've had and all of the amazing highlights from the last two days. My good high school friend Alicia and I decided to turn our 10 year high school reunion into a girl's trip with a goal to relive as many high school memories that we could think of. I would call the weekend a success full of nostalgia and reminiscence. 

We did everything from dancing to Tiesto at Hakkasan, swimming at Red Rock, gelato at the Venetian, sampling makeup at Sephora (of course), catching up with some great friends at my 10 year high school reunion, having an after party at BJs for pazookies, and breakfast at Babystacks. It doesn't get much better than that!

White Sands

James and I were able to visit White Sands while we were in New Mexico. I seriously love this place. It is so beautiful and unique. As you enter the National Park, the cars in front of you start driving really slow because the white sand looks like snow. Subconsciously you want to drive slow and be careful and you have to remind yourself that it is sand, haha!

The thing to do is bring some snow sleds and slide down the slopes. The last time I visited White Sands was June 2009, and that is exactly what we did. You can see pictures here. So fun!

Colorado River

Over the weekend my family went on a kayaking trip to the Colorado River in Bullhead City, Arizona. My family is getting so big! We fill up an entire 15 passenger van shuttle! 

It has been such a great weekend.

La Jolla

My brother Leo is leaving on his mission to New York, New York on the 22nd, so my family planned a quick little family vacation to San Diego. It has been such a good trip. We have been waking up early every day to go running {I love running in California, it is so beautiful and the weather is amazing.}, going to the beach every day, and spending time with my dad's family. I love it. Being here brings me back to my childhood when I used to live here.

Bombora

I got free tickets from work, to go to Lagoon! James and I love amusement parks and roller coasters, but I get motion sickness really easily so I have to be careful about what rides I go on. I have tried a few motion sickness medicines, but I don't really like the way they makes me feel... I found out that if I take Benedril I am able to go on motion rides without getting sick! Seriously a lifesaver!

It was a fun day! I definitely ate too many sweets, and I seriously crashed when I got home - I was so tired, haha.

Airboat Ride {Alligator Hunting}

While out in Florida, we were able to go on a super fun airboat ride and see some alligators! It was sooooo cool! Here are the pics:

Universal Studios

James and I were able to go to Florida for Christmas with his family! I had never been, so I was so excited! While we were out there, we were able to go to Universal Studios :) FYI - everyday we were in Florida, we had a "theme day". While we were at Universal Studios it was fanny pack day. I normally make fun of fanny packs, but after this trip I realized that they are a necessary article of clothing while at a theme park. Thank you Alex for letting me borrow yours :)

I was looking forward to Harry Potter Land for so long! It was the first thing we did when we got to the Park. It was so cool!

And of course we had to get Butterbeer. I think that was the highlight of the trip for me. I have been craving it ever since. I need to find the recipe for that stuff! It was so good!

On the Disaster Ride, James and his mom and dad were called up onto the stage to be part of the show, haha.
