Batman Spook Alley

I just finished my second annual Halloween Carnival for Provo City and it turned out AWESOME! It definitely was the best event we have done yet. I don't know if many of you know, but I have been working on this event for two months now. My main responsibility was designing the Spook Alley for the Carnival. I chose to do a "Batman" theme for the Spook Alley and incorporated all of the Batman Villains throughout the whole thing. So I am writing this post because I want to walk everyone through so you can "imagine" what it was like!

(I have included pictures of the Spook Alley so you can sort of get an idea of what it looks like, but the pictures don't do it justice. It is just hard getting good pictures with the black lights, strobe lights, and fog, plus you can't hear the awesome music and see the villains...)

As you enter the Spook Alley, it starts out in the Bat Cave with Batman, where he tells everyone that all of the Villains have escaped and are running around Gotham City causing havoc. He then shows the group of people out of his cave and warns them of the dangers and tells them to be careful!

Then as the go through the rest of the bat cave they approach a Mine Shaft that they have to crawl through to get out of the Bat Cave. Along the way they are met by a Skeleton and other creatures that live in the Cave and Mine Shaft. Once they are out of the Mine Shaft they are in the Forrest outside of Bruce Wayne's Mansion. They then have to go through the Forrest.

They then approach the Insane Asylum where the Scarecrow and his insane patients are waiting for them. They then exit the Asylum to an Alley Way were Cat Woman is. As they turn the corner they get closer to the heart of Gotham City. They are then approached by Two Face. Then they continue on as they enter Gotham City and are met by Joker himself!

At the Carnival, one of our other main attractions was our Quarter Mile Maze. It filled the entire ground floor and was 8 feet tall, it was really impressive! We spent a whole week setting it up, decorating it and putting it all together. Here is a picture of it so you can get an idea of how big it was!

We also had a Magician Show, Halloween Carnival Games, Haunted Movie Theatre... It was a crazy night. I just can't believe how much planning and preparation it took and now it is all over!
