Colorado River

Over the weekend my family went on a kayaking trip to the Colorado River in Bullhead City, Arizona. My family is getting so big! We fill up an entire 15 passenger van shuttle!

It has been such a great weekend.

La Jolla

My brother Leo is leaving on his mission to New York, New York on the 22nd, so my family planned a quick little family vacation to San Diego. It has been such a good trip. We have been waking up early every day to go running {I love running in California, it is so beautiful and the weather is amazing.}, going to the beach every day, and spending time with my dad's family. I love it. Being here brings me back to my childhood when I used to live here.

Last time we will be all together! [for a long time] Love my family!

Provo Flash Fans

We flash mobbed a City League Hockey Game last night! (I love my job.) There was a pretty good crowd as well! All of the Flash Fans waited behind the Peaks Ice Arena, and then we all went into the stadium and cheered all night long. Here are some pictures of the whole event!

Killing time, waiting for the Flash Mob to arrive!

We also had some dance battles going, haha.

All of the fans, waiting to be let into the game!

The start of the game!

Fans Cheering! It was a packed house.

I wanted to get a picture of this puppy, so cute.

Thank You Tom Anderson

So it has been 6 years since James and I first met! We met on August 2, 2006 in front of Glenwood Apartments. He invited me to an outdoor movie, but I couldn't go because I had a huge paper due the next day. I ended up calling him after I got the paper done that night and we went to Ihop with a bunch of friends. I guess I liked him so much that we ended up hanging out every day after that!

The funny thing about how James and I met, is the fact that we first started talking to each other on Myspace - yes, Myspace! Haha.

I forgot that I saved the messages of our first conversations, and found them recently. Oh how I love technology.  So here you go, enjoy. (The phone number is no longer James's number.)

So when people ask us how we met, James likes to tell a partial truth -- the story of how we met through a mutual friend, Tom Anderson :)

I love this man! Every year gets better and better!

Cat Eye Tutorial

You are going to want to use a liquid eyeliner in black to get the desired look. My favorite liquid eyeliner is Revlon's ColorStay. It has a sponge tip instead of a thin brush. I feel like it is easier to use and I have more control trying to draw a smooth line.

Your going to start by drawing a line along your lash line. Start at the inner corner of your eye and drag your eyeliner along your lash line to the outer corner. Stay right up to your lash line (don't leave any gaps) and follow your eyes natural curve. (Tip: I rest my elbow on the counter while drawing my line. It gives me more control and a steadier hand.)

Then you are going to want to draw a line that extends past your eyelash line. I use the angle of my lower lid and draw from there. You can also imagine a line from the outside corner to the end of your brow, that becomes the angle for the wing.

Here is another angle so you can see that the line is an extenuation of my lower lid. You are going to want to use light brush strokes, slowly draw the wing at that angle.

Then just fill in the corner of your liner creating a smooth line.

Tada.

The fun thing about this look, is that you can go as dramatic as you would like, just by making your line thicker and your wing longer.

Hoedown Throwdown

Howdy kids. Tuesday was the Pioneer Day Extravaganza, and boy was it a hit! There were at least 5,000 people at the park!

James visited me while I was working the event.

Photo Booth with the Staff!

For the Pioneer Day Extravaganza, the event staff danced the Hoedown Throw Down on the Main Stage after the Flag Ceremony! It was so much fun! Here are some pictures of the dance.

It was such a great event! The best one yet! Happy Pioneer Day.
