Halloween Carnival

I have the best job in the whole world! We just got done throwing a 2 day Halloween Carnival for Provo City.

Here are a bunch of fun pictures of the event!

Staff Picture

The theme for the Spook Alley this year was an Evil Circus.

The Spook Alley Crew: everyone who runs our events are volunteers, these guys were awesome and did such a good job!

We had a Craft Room themed as: Nightmare Before Christmas

And here are some pictures of all of our Carnival Games:

The Snake Pit: you have to pick a snake to win a prize, the kids loved it and would spend forever there searching for the "winning" snake.

Life Size Operation: kids get to pick a card and then pull out their assigned object and feel all of the gross slime.

Lucky Key: reach your hand into the pirate bag and pick out a key. Only the right key opens up the treasure chest to receive a prize.

Candy Guess and Where's Waldo: we had a few volunteers dressed up as Waldo, but only one was the real one. If you found him, he gives you a ticket and you can enter into a drawing.

Shoot a Werewolf: Laser gun game, kids get to shoot all the werewolf targets.

James was helping out with the sound at the Main Stage.

Radio Disney performed. They were really good at getting the audience to participate! We also had a magician and a juggling act.

Here is a picture of the crowd! We also had a Quarter Mile Maze out in our back warehouse! We had about 1,000 people at the event. The turn out was awesome and everyone had a great time!!

Fall Photos

My sister Alex came into town to help James and I move into our new house. Over the weekend we took a couple of fall pictures. These are the pictures that I had on my camera, the rest are on hers.

Guess What!!?

James and I signed on a new home last week!!! We are so excited and can't wait to move in. We have been looking to buy a home forever... we just hadn't found anything that was in our price range or what we were looking for. While we were driving around looking at a few places, we came across a model home... and lets just say everything just fell into place.

We have been living in a small one bedroom apartment for the past two years so we could save up all the money we can and so that we wouldn't feel as bad throwing our money away to rent. I have been feeling very claustrophobic and I swear I am constantly cleaning - but a small place gets cluttered so easy. All I can say, is I can't wait to move into a house that we can actually fit in, so we can invite friends over, and not have piles of stuff under our couch, bed, etc...

Our house should be completed by mid-October!! James and I are obsessed with our house. We have gone to look at it literally every day since we signed the papers. Here are some current pictures!

New Job

Yes, it is true, I have a new job, AGAIN! I know, it has only been 11 months since I started working with NetSmartz but I got this amazing opportunity to apply for the City of Provo in their Recreation Department - and I got the job!! I am so excited for the position - yet I am going to miss everyone I got to work with at the Boys and Girls Club and NetSmartz. I loved working with the NetSmartz program, and I had to turn in my Macbook today... it was a sad Friday.

So my first day with the City is Monday. I used to work part time as a Recreation Leader for Provo City while I was finishing up my undergrad, and now I am so excited I get to work for them again, fulltime, as a Special Events/Recreation Coordinator. I will be getting to run all the City's special events and programs! Yay!

Molly's Wedding

Yay! Molly got married over the Labor Day weekend!! Alex, James, Andrea and I were able to drive down to Vegas to be there and celebrate her wedding. It was so good to be able to be home for the holiday too. I can never get enough of my family when I go home.

Molly's colors were black, white, and purple.

We were all starving after pictures at the temple so we of course stopped at In N Out.

It was a fun night! Congrats Molly and Michael, we LOVE you.
