New Boat Owners!!

James and I have been talking about getting a boat for the longest time... Lately he has been browsing KSL and researching boats. I thought that was pretty cool, but I did not really think anything of it. Last week James was running errands, and was not really having the best day... He had been gone for a while and I had gotten off work and was just waiting for him to come home. He called me and told me he was 5 minutes away and was starving. When he got home he came up to the door to get me for dinner, I thought that it was sort of weird because usually he will just call me to run out to the car, but again I did not really think anything of it. As we were walking out to the car I was busy telling James a story and was not paying attention. James started laughing and when I looked up I realized why! He had bought a wakeboard boat and I was standing right in front of it!!!!

We took the boat out yesterday and here are some pics:

Beach Day

One of my family's traditions is spending a whole day at La Jolla Shores Beach. We wake up really early to make sure we get a fire pit and spend the whole day playing at the beach. Then when it starts to get dark we have a bonfire and eat and chat until the security guard kicks us out ;) This is one of my most favorite things that my family does and I look forward to it every year. Here are some pictures of the fun day.

Deep Sea Fishing

James was able to go deep sea fishing on my Uncle Don's boat when we were in San Diego. All the boys woke up really early in the morning to get ready. (I think that was the first time in a long time that James had to wake up before me ;) They spent the whole day fishing, and I know that they had a good time cause James did not get back till six at night. They spent about 12 hours on that boat! and I spent the day shopping ;)

James, my brother Chet, and my cousin Derek.

The bait dock in the middle of the bay.

Derek and Chet chillin on the way out to the kelp beds.

Chet caught a new fish every time he threw his line in the water!

Haha, the boys were dead by the end of the day.

They made out with 33 sea bass, not bad.

San Diego Zoo

Did I ever tell you that I love the San Diego Zoo? When I was little my mom would take me here all the time. I love this place. It is so huge though, I think it is impossible to do everything in one day.

James is so funny. I came out of the bathroom and James looked like this! Haha, I had to do a double take to make sure it was my husband.

Alex and I at the entrance of the Zoo

We had an unlimited pass to ride the Sky Ferry, I think this was one of my favorite things when I was a kid, and I think it still is.

It was so funny, the baby gorilla was trying to grab Alex's map. He was soooo cute. The mom came over and sat right in front of Alex. I don't think she was to happy with Alex playing with her baby.

and here is just a video of us checking out the desert tortoise:

Sea World

James and I were able to go down to San Diego a little early, before our family reunion. It was such a fun time to spend, just with him. It was also his first time visiting my family in San Diego. It was such an awesome trip.

My grandma was able to get us free tickets to Sea World! We felt so lucky and we had the best time there. I want to go back, I miss all of the animals :]

I loved touching the sting rays! They are crazy feeling, all gushy - that's how I describe it.

The sea lions crack me up. They were going crazy when people had sardines. It was fun you could feed them over the glass and they would come right up to you! I loved it.

I think one of my favorite parts about sea world is their "all you can eat." We paid $30 each for us to eat all day. It was awesome! I felt like I was a VIP member, haha. I think we would go get food after ever show.

I loved where we ate too! James chose this spot because he knows how much I love turtles.
